We are monitoring the course of Tropical Storm Milton and following the guidance of the National Hurricane Center and National Weather Service. At this time, it is unclear what the impact will be, or whether our communities will be impacted. Please know that we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety. We will provide updates as our plans develop and the storm’s track becomes clearer.
Our team members within each of our communities are working hard and following their emergency preparedness plans. As part of that plan, communities will be providing ongoing updates as appropriate.
Westminster Palms is actively planning and preparing for the arrival of Tropical Storm Idalia. Pinellas County has issued a mandatory evacuation order for certain low-lying areas. We are currently preparing to evacuate beginning tomorrow. Assisted Living residents will be relocating to Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center. Nursing Care residents will be relocating to Seminole Pavillion at Freedom Square in Seminole. Independent Living residents must evacuate by 10 a.m. tomorrow. We will remain at our evacuation sites until advised that it is safe to return home. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the National Hurricane Center and continue to update with any new developments.
